Like Yala and Wilpattu, Kumana is also a famed national park in Sri Lanka, whose entrance is located in Arugambay. As such, you’ll come across signs offering safaris and tours to Kumana. Formerly known as Yala East National Park, Kumana is also an excellent location for mingling with elephants, though you should probably mingle at a safe distance. If you’re lucky, you may even see a leopard on a good day. There’s a diverse spectrum of wildlife here, so if you’ve never been on a safari in Sri Lanka, why not try Kumana?
