The rather morbid name doesn’t exactly go hand-in-hand with the incredibly beauty of the waterfall, but there’s a good reason as to why it was called this. Just as the name implies, this is where numerous love-stricken couples came to declare their steadfast dedication to each other by jumping off together onto the treacherous rocks below, though this doesn’t really happen anymore. The waterfall itself is an accumulation of various streams and the like, stemming from Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Piduruthalagala. Found around 3km from Nuwara Eliya town, there are a few different routes to access the waterfall, depending on which suits you best.
