Though places like Hikkaduwa, Mirissa and Weligama are also surfing spots, Arugambay is on a league of its own, and seasoned surfers know this all too well. Needless to say, this attracts surfers from all corners of the world, making for a lively getaway in this part of the country during season. Plus, there are plenty of parties lining the coast as well, so when you’re done with the surf, you can slide into another turf. Whiskey Point and Peanut Farm are the two main surfing points here, where you’ll catch plenty of surfers on the daily out here. Whiskey Point is also good for beginner surfers.
